Sound Insulation

Silence has become a luxury.

However, it shouldn't be a luxury, it's essential. We need silence in order to unwind, switch off, and relax.

Noise has turned into one of the greatest problems in urban areas. Noise stresses our body, particularly as we cannot control whether, when and to what extent we are exposed to it.

Your home should be a haven of peace and calm where you can recharge your batteries. Create your own haven of peace and quiet – With soundproof windows by Thermosmart Windows. You will feel and hear the difference – Or to put it better: you won't hear a thing ...

Warm in Winter, Cool in Summer

Windows lose and gain heat by conduction, convection, radiation and air leakage. This heat transfer is expressed with U-values.

To help your selection process the Australian Window Association has developed the Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS). WERS simplifies window comparison by rating windows using a star rating system, based on the window’s basic performance measures, U-value (Uw) and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC). Windows receive a rating for both cooling and heating performance.

uPVC WERS Rating

0 Star Cooling

A high cooling rating implies the window reduces solar heat gain very substantially and may need no shading treatment.

0 Star Heating

Windows with at least four heating stars, on all sides of the house, will ensure that unwanted heat losses or gains are minimised.

0 U-value (Uw)

The lower the U-value, the greater a window's resistance to heat flow and the better its insulating value.

Timber WERS Rating

0 Star Cooling

A high cooling rating implies the window reduces solar heat gain very substantially and may need no shading treatment.

0 Star Heating

Windows with at least four heating stars, on all sides of the house, will ensure that unwanted heat losses or gains are minimised.

0 U-value (Uw)

The lower the U-value, the greater a window's resistance to heat flow and the better its insulating value.

Aluminium WERS Rating
